Dr Desh Bandhu Gupta, Chairman
|

An honorary Doctor of science (D.Sc.) with a master’s degree in chemistry, Dr. Gupta, in his early career was an Associate Professor at Birla Institute of Science and Technology, Pilani, Rajasthan. Since 1968, when he founded the company, Dr Gupta has steered Lupin towards the forefront of India pharmaceuticals.

and the research and innovation programs in new drug research and novel drug delivery systems

Dr Kamal K Sharma, Managing Director
|
|
|
Dr Kamal K Sharma is a graduate in chemical engineering from the Indian institute of Technology
(IIT), Kanpur, with a post-graduate diploma in industrial management from Jamnalal
Bajaj Institute of management Studies, Mumbai, and a Ph.D in economics from
IIT, Mumbai. He has also completed an advanced management program from Harvard Business School, Boston.

In a career spanning more than three decades, Dr. Sharma has
held a range of senior management positions managing projects, corporate development and general management in the pharmaceuticals and chemicals industries.

A graduate in arts, Mrs. Gupta is one of the promoters

Mr Nilesh Gupta, Executive Director

|
Mr Nilesh Gupta is Group President and Executive Director to the Board of Lupin. He is a Chemical Engineer from the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), Mumbai, and a graduate with honors from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA, where he specialized in healthcare, strategic management and finance.

All Research comprising of Drug Discovery, Process Research, Formulation Research and the IP Group reports in to him. He is also in charge
of Lupin's Supply Chain comprising of all API and Finished Product manufacturing locations in addition to heading the Regulatory, Quality and
Projects functions.

Director
|

|
A graduate in
commerce, Certified Associated and Fellow of the Indian Institute
of Bankers, Mr. D K Contractor has served
Central Bank of India in various capacities and retired as its Executive Director. Apart from banking
knowledge, Mr. Contractor
brings a vast experience of more than four decades in finance and
administration.

Dr K. U. Mada, Director
|

A Ph.D.in Economics from University of Bombay, with a Certificate in Financial Management from JBIMS,
Mr. K U Mada is an eminent economist and development banker. He has served in key positions with IDBI as its Executive Director for over three years.

He was Chairman/Member of a number of committees constituted by IDBI and other financial institutions and the Government of
India.

Mrs Vinita Gupta, Director

A graduate in pharmacy from the University of Mumbai and MBA from J L Kellog Graduate School of Management,
Mrs. Vinita Gupta has been instrumental in Lupin’s forays into the Advanced Markets and heads the Advanced Market business
of the company in the markets of USA and Europe. Under her leadership, Lupin has emerged as a global generic player, especially in the US
market in addition to becoming a strong player in the pediatric branded market. She is also a Director on the Board of Lupin Ltd.

Mr. Marc
Desaedeleer heads Citigroup's
private equity business across
central and eastern Europe, India,
the middle east and Africa (CEEMEA).

Louvain (Belgium) where he was
Assistant Professor. He has also

Mr. Sunil Nair is Managing Director and Partner of CVC International, Citigroup’s private equity arm that invests in the emerging markets. He has worked several years in private equity investing, financial structuring, and strategic consulting in emerging and developed markets.

Mr Nair has also been a senior consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York and Stamford. |

Dr. Vijay Kelkar
has held senior positions in the
Government of India and was
Chairman/Member of several
high-powered Committees set-up by
various ministries. He has also
served roles in the Finance
Ministry, the latest being Chairman
of the 13th Finance Commission, and
is a very well known face in the
global advisory and Lecture circuit.

He was the Finance Secretary,
Government of India from 1998 -1999,
Executive Director for India, Sri
Lanka, Bangladesh and Bhutan at the IMF,
Washington from August 1999 to

of Finance, Government of India in
the rank of a Minister of State from
August 2002 to September 2004. He
has authored many books,
publications and journals on micro
and macroeconomics, functioning of
Indian public sector undertakings,
their problems and emerging
challenges and trade policies &
reforms in India. Dr. Kelkar was an Independent Director on the Board of Lupin during the period from October 19, 2005 till December 31, 2007. Upon his appointment by the President of India, as Chairman of the 13th Finance Commission, Dr. Kelkar relinquished his directorship w.e.f. December 31, 2007. |

is a well recognized thought leader
and strategist in healthcare
research and development,
professional and consumer marketing,
corporate strategy, sales force
management, managed care, State and
Federal relations, and human
resources.

Prior to this, Mr. Zahn was the President of Schering Laboratories, Director, Schering Corporation and Corporate Vice President of Schering-Plough Corporation. As President of Schering, he directed the Corporation’s primary business unit through the most dynamic growth period in its history, transforming it from a US $1.5 billion organization to a US $ 6 billion major company. Under his stewardship, Schering Laboratories created and developed important prescription therapeutic markets. His leadership transformed Schering-Plough Healthcare Products (OTC company for Schering-Plough) into a major force. Mr. Zahn spent 20 years rising through the ranks with increasing responsibility at Johnson & Johnson before being recruited to the Senior Management levels at Schering-Plough. |
